Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico to a family of musicians. When she was a kid, she listened to lots of traditional music as well as traditional Boleros. In addition, she was a fan of traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is a lover of tangos and opera, as well as any dramatic performance. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her and sister, she began more intense singing lessons at the age of 16, under the direction by renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. She continued her musical training through the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. In her early career, she included performances with a variety of opera choruses, chamber groups and chamber groups in Guadalajara. After relocating into America in the year 2000, she joined the United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present place in southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and sings Latin American traditional music solo in a variety of private occasions. As a musician and teacher she has volunteered for numerous community projects because of her passion and love for music. Ana is also a past participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for being able to share her passion and love for old-fashioned Latin American songs with others and, in the process hopes to impart a desire to, particularly in the younger age group, to help keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
